January 5th, 2019
Our team, along with our sister team 1334 got together with all of the other Halton FRC teams to watch the reveal video for this years game. There was lots of excitement in the air and everyone liked the new game that we are going to be playing during our competitions. After seeing the reveal video, everybody split up into their individual teams to go and discuss strategy and robot design. After a few hours of this all of the teams grouped back together and we shared our ideas with each other. We all had lots of fun learning about this year's game and meeting people that are all interested in robotics. Good luck to all teams during build season!

Southwest International Offseason Event
October 27th, 2018
For the second year in a row, our team traveled to Windsor with our sister team 1334 to the Southwest International Offseason Event. To give our new team members the experience of an overnight robotics competition we stayed in a hotel the night before the competition. During the competition, we played very well and even earned a spot in the playoffs. We played well in the playoffs and even made it to the semi-finals, but we could not beat the other alliance in the semi-finals and that is as far as we went in the competition. We still had a very fun time cheering for our team, and we gave our new members the experience of their first robotics competition!
Robotics Summer Camp
August 25th, 2018
This past summer we ran our robotics summer camps with the Town of Oakville. Members of our team became camp councilors and taught kids ages 8-12 LEGO and VEX robotics. There were 8 weeks of camp at the Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Center and 5 weeks of camp at River Oaks Community Center. It was a fun summer with lots of robot learning and summer camp fun. We are excited to run our robotics summer camp again next summer.
August 19th, 2018
During the opening weekend of the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition), we organized and hosted an offseason event where other FRC teams competed against each other in this years game, FIRST Power Up. Our team was also part of the competition, and all of the teams there had lots of fun. This whole competition was available for the public to watch, and with the competition, we also had a LEGO Robotics table where we could talk to kids and get them interested in robotics. This event was a huge success and we are hoping to host it next year!
July 13th, 2018
At the start of the summer, our town closes down the road to cars and opens it up to pedestrians. It is a large summer festival with booths of different organizations that can talk to the public, and shops along the main street are open until midnight. We had lots of people around our tent and got many people interested in robotics. We gave demonstrations of our robot and let members of the public drive them around. We also gave kids the opportunity to ride our chair-bot which is very popular and always give kids a fun and safe ride. It was a very fun night and we hope to see people next year!
Ontario District Championships
April 14th, 2018
Although our robot was not able to compete at the Ontario Championships, our team captain May, was able to compete to become a Dean's List finalist and go onto the World Championship in Detroit. And when it came to that point of the competition, she won!!!! Along with 3 others that were competing with her she qualified to go onto the FIRST World Championships in Detroit to compete to become a Dean's List winner there! The competition was also a really fun time for our team members in the stands, with very exciting matches to watch and lots of music playing to dance to. It was an awesome experience and we hope to be able to compete with our robot next year!
McMaster District Event

The competition at McMaster (April 6th - 8th) was another awesome event. We had lots of fun in the stands and our drive team did a great job on the field. Here we were in 30th place at the end of the round robin and unfortunately, we did not make it into the playoffs. But at this competition, our team captain May became a Dean's List semi-finalist which meant that she would be able to compete to become a Dean's List finalist at the Provincial Championships!

At the end of the round robin we were in 24th place, but fortunately, we were the second pick of the 3rd ranked alliance! We made it to the semi-finals but we, unfortunately, lost 2 matches and were out of the competition.
